Well hey, you can’t deny that It’s progress right? However slow, it helps build precedence. More companies will follow suit. If it causes ANY growth in revenue, that will show growth. I like to think that Lugee Li is smarter than us. He’s not a gazillionaire, so this investment was a big risk for him. 2.5 years isn’t really THAT long for a new CEO to turn things around and build products. Look at how long Apple delayed the AirPods and the HomePod. They were months behind schedule on small niche products. They are also a huge company with billions of dollars. Sure, you can blame that on Tim Cook, but even the new Steve Jobs-like Icon Elon Musk is way behind schedule... (I actually think Jobs was overrated and that Elon is even MORE of a futurist.)
I think we are light years ahead of 2013 when Engel announced the new machinery. 2013 was light years ahead of 2010 when Apple announced the partnership (when we had Norway to mass produce anything)... where will we be in another 3 years is anyone’s guess but I am optimistic. I’m actually an extreme pessimist usually so this is new territory for me XD.
