My feelings are that this is a futile last gasp by the Senate conservatives, over an issue regarding the police that is not really an issue that isn't already settled in some provinces or currently being worked out presently.

Justin has said more than once that Canada's marijuana initiative is on track and he has the votes for approval in the coming months.

The whole country and it's massive economic initiative is just too far along and too lucrative and welcomed by an overwhelming nationwide majority.
IMO, just expected posturing 'noise'.
