I've admired Apple from the first time I laid eyes on a IPod.... I kid you not! I remember it like yesterday! I lived in Jackson Wy. and I was just starting my own business... It was Nov/Dec of 01 and I would go to this Internet cafe that this pilot for American Airlines owned (really cool guy), and his son (12/13) and his other little rich buddies were clamoring over this little portable device one night... had me intrigued! Got visiting with them and they showed me this little gadget and I'm not sure what impressed me more? It itself or the reaction of those boys..... both were equally important! At that time Apple was selling for 9 dollars a share and seemed on the brink of bankruptcy.... seriously!
So if I had went out and bought 10 grand of stock after that experience I would have secured 1111 shares. It has since split twice (1-2/1-7) for a multiply of 14 -- 15554 shares @ current price would be 2.8 million dollars approx.....
Amazon? I don't know their price history per se.... but from the first time I seen their box on one of my clients doorstep (10 years ago about) that box with the crooked smile I had that hunch there was something to it!
I think I would of done well with it..
Andi... am I going to make a product comparison here? No... not in the least! I haven't seen the product... as well as all of you. lol I'm assuming....
But the energy I see coming from Louden is eerily similar to that of Steve Jobs and honestly I could careless what another person on the board may feel towards that comment.
I'm here to see the unveiling of the product and if I see that figurative twinkle of the eyes like the IPod with those kids.... then I know I have a winner! History does repeat itself and human nature doesn't change...
