make that '200 knots and more' -- in the by-definition rotating updrafts of maximal-event tornadic supercells at their peak intensities, the maximum vertical motion vector/component can and does reach and exceed 250 mph -- many even garden-variety non-severe thunderstorms have, at least in places/at times, updrafts with a vertical motion of at least not far from 50 knots
