I hope sharing my experience will help others who are in the closet feel like they’re not alone and they’re not crazy. We’re in this together, and we can all push through if we look out for each other.

The Donald J. Trump Administration is deeply concerned that Iran has returned United States citizen Baquer Namazi to its notorious Evin Prison after briefly releasing him on bail so he could undergo medical examination. We understand the decision to return Mr. Namazi to prison was made against the strong advice of his doctors and the Iranian regime’s own medical examiner. Mr. Namazi, who is 81 years old, is serving a 10-year sentence on false charges. He has been hospitalized four times in the last year and continues to suffer from life-threatening heart problems. He remains in urgent need of sustained medical care, and the United States Government holds Iran fully accountable for his well-being. The Trump Administration again calls for the immediate and unconditional release of all unjustly detained and missing United States citizens in Iran, including Baquer Namazi, his son Siamak Namazi, Xiyue Wang, and Robert Levinson.

Russian Who Fixed the Winter Olympics Had a Link to Trump - Alimzhan Tokhtakhounov
Alimzhan ‘Alik’ Tokhtakhounov allegedly fixed the pairs skating at the 2002 Games. He was indicted by none other than James Comey—and is still a fugitive from justice to this day.
As we come to the 2018 Winter Olympics, an alleged Russian organized crime boss retains a long-standing world record as the sole person ever indicted for fixing a gold medal.
Alimzhan Tokhtakhounov remains a fugitive as the “Vor” or crime boss behind Skategate, the fixing of pairs figure skating and perhaps also the pairs ice dancing at the 2002 Winter Olympics. He was indicted by none other than James Comey, who was then the Manhattan U.S. attorney.
“He arranged for a classic quid pro quo. ‘You line up support for the Russian pair and we’ll line up support for the French pair, and everybody will go away with the gold, and perhaps there’ll be a little bit of gold for me,’” Comey said when announcing the charges.
As if that were not enough, Tokhtakhounov went on also to be indicted in 2013 for running a criminal organization involved in money laundering and arms trafficking, as well as a multimillion-dollar gambling operation based in Trump Tower, three floors directly below the penthouse of the man who is now our president.
Tokhtakhounov—also known as “Alik” and “Tiwanchik”— is now doubly indicted in the United States, but safely ensconced in his native Russia. He likely remains disappointed in having still failed to achieve what the feds say was his ultimate goal in Skategate: securing a renewed visa that would allow him to resume living in France.

A text message between two FBI employees from September 2016 released by a Republican senator Wednesday says that then-President Barack Obama “wants to know everything we’re doing.”
What exactly the text refers to isn’t specified in the exchange. Associates of the FBI employees said it refers to preparation to brief Mr. Obama about Russian interference in that year’s election. Sen. Ron Johnson (R., Wis.), who disclosed the text Wednesday as part of a 25-page report, said it raises questions about meddling by Mr. Obama in the federal Hillary Clinton email investigation, which wasn’t an active probe at that time.
The report from Mr. Johnson, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, highlights previously cited texts between Peter Strzok, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, and Lisa Page, a bureau lawyer with whom he was having an extramarital affair. Mr. Strzok supervised the investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state and was to become the lead agent on the special counsel Robert Mueller’s team investigating any ties between Trump associates and Russia.
Mr. Strzok was removed in July, however, after the Justice Department’s inspector general uncovered numerous text messages between Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page, in 2015 and 2016, that were highly critical of Mr. Trump. Since Mr. Strzok’s removal was disclosed in December, staffers for Mr. Johnson and other senators have been poring over the pair’s correspondence, and the Justice Department has turned over to Congress two batches of the pair’s texts,

Holder says Trump comments hurt long-term FBI credibility
WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump's criticism of the FBI and Justice Department will have long-term effects on the credibility of federal agents, former attorney general Eric Holder warned Wednesday.
In some future trial "where a credibility determination has to be made between an FBI agent saying one thing and a defendant who's a witness saying something else," the president's comments "will raise doubts in the minds of people who listened to that FBI agent and what she says in a way that never existed before," he told reporters at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast in Washington.
"The long-term negative collateral consequences are substantial, they're real, and I would hope the president would pull back."
Trump said last year that Holder as attorney general protected President Barack Obama, adding, "I have great respect for that." Holder said Wednesday that it would be a good thing for Trump to treat the Justice Department the way Obama did, because the former president respected a wall between the White House and Justice Department.
"There were things I did as attorney general, decisions I had to make, that were not communicated to him," Holder said. "My guess is there are more than a couple that he probably did not agree with."
Even so, Holder said, he never heard anything from Obama criticizing one of his decisions.
The former attorney general said he fears House Republicans may have chilled future intelligence sharing by revealing classified information about the application for an eavesdropping warrant against a Trump campaign adviser, Carter Page.
As a result of the Republican memo, someone who wants to share information with the United States "may have to think, what does this mean? Is my identity going to be revealed?" Holder said.
Holder was not involved in approving any of the four Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court warrant applications that were the subject of the Republican memo, known as the Nunes memo, after the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif.
Asked if Trump should agree to be interviewed by Robert Mueller's investigators, Holder said, "That's a determination he and his lawyers will have to make."
The president could refuse by citing Fifth Amendment privilege, "which would be almost fatal for any other politician," Holder said. "But this president says he could shoot somebody on Fifth Avenue and not suffer any negative political consequences."

I hope sharing my experience will help others who are in the closet feel like they’re not alone and they’re not crazy. We’re in this together, and we can all push through if we look out for each other.

Trump Administration is deeply concerned that Iran has returned United States citizen Baquer Namazi to its notorious Evin Prison after briefly releasing him on bail so he could undergo medical examination. We understand the decision to return Mr. Namazi to prison was made against the strong advice of his doctors and the Iranian regime’s own medical examiner. Mr. Namazi, who is 81 years old, is serving a 10-year sentence on false charges. He has been hospitalized four times in the last year and continues to suffer from life-threatening heart problems. He remains in urgent need of sustained medical care, and the United States Government holds Iran fully accountable for his well-being. Russian Who Fixed the Winter Olympics Had a Link to Trump - Alimzhan Tokhtakhounov
Alimzhan ‘Alik’ Tokhtakhounov allegedly fixed the pairs skating at the 2002 Games. He was indicted by none other than James Comey—and is still a fugitive from justice to this day.
As we come to the 2018 Winter Olympics, an alleged Russian organized crime boss retains a long-standing world record as the sole person ever indicted for fixing a gold medal.
Alimzhan Tokhtakhounov remains a fugitive as the “Vor” or crime boss behind Skategate, the fixing of pairs figure skating and perhaps also the pairs ice dancing at the 2002 Winter Olympics. He was indicted by none other than James Comey, who was then the Manhattan U.S. attorney.
“He arranged for a classic quid pro quo. ‘You line up support for the Russian pair and we’ll line up support for the French pair, and everybody will go away with the gold, and perhaps there’ll be a little bit of gold for me,’” Comey said when announcing the charges.
As if that were not enough, Tokhtakhounov went on also to be indicted in 2013 for running a criminal organization involved in money laundering and arms trafficking, as well as a multimillion-dollar gambling operation based in Trump Tower, three floors directly below the penthouse of the man who is now our president.
Tokhtakhounov—also known as “Alik” and “Tiwanchik”— is now doubly indicted in the United States, but safely ensconced in his native Russia. He likely remains disappointed in having still failed to achieve what the feds say was his ultimate goal in Skategate: securing a renewed visa that would allow him to resume living in France.

A text message between two FBI employees from September 2016 released by a Republican senator Wednesday says that then-President Barack Obama “wants to know everything we’re doing.”
What exactly the text refers to isn’t specified in the exchange. Associates of the FBI employees said it refers to preparation to brief Mr. Obama about Russian interference in that year’s election. Sen. Ron Johnson (R., Wis.), who disclosed the text Wednesday as part of a 25-page report, said it raises questions about meddling by Mr. Obama in the federal Hillary Clinton email investigation, which wasn’t an active probe at that time.
The report from Mr. Johnson, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, highlights previously cited texts between Peter Strzok, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, and Lisa Page, a bureau lawyer with whom he was having an extramarital affair. Mr. Strzok supervised the investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state and was to become the lead agent on the special counsel Robert Mueller’s team investigating any ties between Trump associates and Russia.
Mr. Strzok was removed in July, however, after the Justice Department’s inspector general uncovered numerous text messages between Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page, in 2015 and 2016, that were highly critical of Mr. Trump. Since Mr. Strzok’s removal was disclosed in December, staffers for Mr. Johnson and other senators have been poring over the pair’s correspondence, and the Justice Department has turned over to Congress two batches of the pair’s texts,

Holder says Trump comments hurt long-term FBI credibility
WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump's criticism of the FBI and Justice Department will have long-term effects on the credibility of federal agents, former attorney general Eric Holder warned Wednesday.
In some future trial "where a credibility determination has to be made between an FBI agent saying one thing and a defendant who's a witness saying something else," the president's comments "will raise doubts in the minds of people who listened to that FBI agent and what she says in a way that never existed before," he told reporters at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast in Washington.
"The long-term negative collateral consequences are substantial, they're real, and I would hope the president would pull back."
Trump said last year that Holder as attorney general protected President Barack Obama, adding, "I have great respect for that." Holder said Wednesday that it would be a good thing for Trump to treat the Justice Department the way Obama did, because the former president respected a wall between the White House and Justice Department.
"There were things I did as attorney general, decisions I had to make, that were not communicated to him," Holder said. "My guess is there are more than a couple that he probably did not agree with."
Even so, Holder said, he never heard anything from Obama criticizing one of his decisions.
The former attorney general said he fears House Republicans may have chilled future intelligence sharing by revealing classified information about the application for an eavesdropping warrant against a Trump campaign adviser, Carter Page.
As a result of the Republican memo, someone who wants to share information with the United States "may have to think, what does this mean? Is my identity going to be revealed?" Holder said.
Holder was not involved in approving any of the four Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court warrant applications that were the subject of the Republican memo, known as the Nunes memo, after the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif.
Asked if Trump should agree to be interviewed by Robert Mueller's investigators, Holder said, "That's a determination he and his lawyers will have to make."
The president could refuse by citing Fifth Amendment privilege, "which would be almost fatal for any other politician," Holder said. "But this president says he could shoot somebody on Fifth Avenue and not suffer any negative political consequences."
