Yeah no problem. No hard deadline with SEC and AMFE being a new client of theirs, a complex one at that with all the subs and multiple acquisitions over the years... I don't think the auditors knew what they were getting into right away and under-scheduled the necessary staffing hours to complete an audit of this magnitude.
The next audit will be a breeze... one year only, all the workpapers will be created from the prior year, testing procedures, analyses, templates, etc... will all be available to pull from last year's file and update the numbers. AND the two most important parts... the auditors will have a much better idea how many hours to schedule out for the staff/managers and this time the auditors will have a strict SEC deadline to meet!
I really didn't think the audit would take this long either, but I can definitely understand the reasons why. All I know is it's very close to being finished if its not already.
