To my knowledge AF could not yet have knowledge whether the NWBO trial failed or not. If there was a prior interim look for efficacy, the public is not aware of when it occurred nor are they aware what the recommendation would have been. Interim efficacy recommendations are also just that, recommendations. If they are recommendations to halt for success or futility, it neither means the trial has truly yet necessarily succeeded or failed. In NWBO’s case, no public information has been released regarding efficacy interim analyses to my knowledge. Just five days ago, the company confirmed it is still blinded. The patients and doctors are also still blinded. The trial blinded data apparently demonstrate a long survival tail, and slow(ing) rate of death events. It sounds like AF is making flat accusations without specific substantiation.
