Trefontane, I can understand and appreciate your concern. I also appreciate the fact that you can understand where Alleggs and some of us other longs are coming from when we address "negative" posts.
As for those "negative" posts, I think they fall into two categories: constructive and non-constructive.
Constructive: it seems like the market didn't receive today's PR too well. I wonder if it would have been better to simply state that the audit would be complete this month.
-in fact I saw a couple of these early in the day and didn't question a single one personally. I agree that these types of questions/ concerns should be raised to get others thoughts on it and discuss/debate (in a civil way, hopefully - just don't tell mike that ;) )
Non-constructive: all we keep hearing is shortly, shortly, shortly. I won't hold my breath! at this pace we might have two S&L franchises opened by 2020!
- I don't think this is contructive at all for several reasons. Like Juancy said, it's a catch 22 with the PRs it seems. Don't release anything? People whine. Release something without much of an update? People whine. Maybe we all just need to be patient and remember how far we've come in the past 12 months.
Think back to when S&L was aquired. Was it expected that within almost a year the third and largest store would be open, the distribution arm would be expanded significantly, and we would be exploring game publishing? Not to mention the fact that 2 franchises have already been sold.
As for grozone/gro3, there has been speculation about why we haven't received news here. It may be because of the rotogro connections and what we're allowed to disclose, it may be that Roger is waiting to uplist to maximize the value of the PR. I'm assuming there is a plan here as I won't doubt Roger after the past year. IMO when I read between the lines I feel like he is practically taping his mouth shut to not let something out.
Roger has stated multiple times that his goal, at least in the short term, is to grow the company, not the pps. IMO once the market catches up we will come to fully appreciate that. Even then, I know people are frustrated because they're taking losses (a lot of us are!). However, looking at the bigger picture, like I said before about the fundamentals - look back to where we were a year ago: sub pennies. I know people may doubt that this is sustaining gains, but to me, looking from the beginning of last year to all time highs, there was around 3000% gains. From that same point to now? Down about 30%.
I know a lot of this isn't directed at you or your posts trefontane, just my opinion on some people who fall into the non-constructive category and claim that this board has to be a lovefest. It doesn't, but some of us longs will get upset when people say senseless things that spit in the face of everything Amfil has accomplished in the past year. I'm sorry if I have gotten frustrated with people trying to raise legitimate concerns, however I think people need to take a look in the mirror sometimes and ask, "is this the most constructive way I can share my concerns?" Because like alleggs said, whether directly or indirectly, I do think the board can influence potential new investors.
