I recognized it to be a campaign line,

And other countries pay no attention to our elections and what candidates are saying? Are they to assume that our leaders will lie to get what they want? And that is acceptable diplomacy to you? Glad you are not Secretary of State. And glad that at least we now have a President that is clear in what our foreign relations are.

It amazes me that political constituencies at home have a "You are either for us or against us" attitude, but ask the President to operate under a different attitude.

But then "Liberal Logic" has become somewhat of an oxymoron.
