Is it a lie? No, because Missling used the lawyer-speak terminology "anticipate" rather than "we will" that is often used in Safe Harbor language of any company.

However, he certainly MISGUIDED many (including the scientific-minded on this board who were convinced trials would start soon after the mid-November CTAD).

Sometimes you don't get a second chance to make a good first impression (especially when you are an infancy-stage biotech looking for credibility, both within the science community as well as the financial sector). The "good" doctor should have known this, given his background in both.
