So you are saying that it's better that the MM's or brokers take the investors money for themselves instead of letting the supposed scam operators collect the revenues from the sell of worthless shares.
So you let the scam operators set up the scam and put the initial shares into the market while you sit and wait quietly while they pump the market up. You then short against those original supposedly worthless shares and sell a duplicate amount of worthless shares into the market yourself and keep those revenues for yourself.
It's then at that point that you begin your righteous bash the scam company campaign to bring the share price down so you can buy all those worthless shorted shares that you sold and made millions on to the unsuspecting investor back for little or nothing.
And then I guess you feel good about what you have done to expose these nasty scam companies. You warned them it was a scam and they should have gotten out, but no they wouldn't listen.
The fact is the unsuspecting investors were already screwed and you had already made your money. Now it was just a matter of you covering your short position now that you had brought the PPS down to the basement.
If the company just happened to fold or be revoked before you had a chance to cover your short position then it would be even better for you.

It is one of the few tools available, and not a very good one at that, to keep the uninitiated and misinformed from being ripped off by pump'n'dump artists.

there is no "objective truth"--only patterns of probability. "Matter" is seen as an illusion of the senses.
