Shorts do not increase the float, ever.

So does everyone else! Get it? This is exactly why it's such nonsense to say the MM's are holding the price down. MM's set a price based on market demand and investor sentiment.

Of course they aren't going to dig a deeper whole now that their short position has been exposed and the pressure is now being put on them to cover.
