I thought of something regarding the fake story about the Marine raid on Langley

Quantico is about 40 , straight line, miles from Langley. What probably actually happened is the Marine aircraft were probably on a training mission.

A flight of the vertical lift off craft left Quantico and used Langley as a leg on the training mission. They looped it and continued to the next turning point. Langley is easily identified from the air.

I live 35 straight line miles from the Fort Sill Army base. Our house is on a 280 acre lake, which is easy to see from the air.

We regularly have 2, 3 or 4 helicopters loop the lake and proceed on the next leg of their mission. Several times they have done it a couple of times the same day.

My guess is that some imaginative blogger decided to come up with a new Conspiracy Theory after seeing such a training mission.
