IR or PR has a job to do.
Give information when it is legally warranted. Not the job of the CEO. He should be doing all he can to make his company profitable. Not appeasing shareholders with pumps. Communication from him goes to the IR or PR then communicated to the masses.
If the CEO believes pumping news before it comes then he obviously has too much time on his hands.
Wouldn't you rather he shut his mouth and work on making the company money??????????
