The information was not proprietary or inside information of any company, as it resides with Alpha, NJ not anyone else. It is therefore 'common knowledge' and able to be obtained by any citizen of reasonable mental faculty.

Of course there are probably some folks that have a difficult time discerning between unprotected common public and cicvic machinations and the illegal passing of insider information.
