Here's an update. I did this stuff this morning.
1. Went to the equifax site and got my enrollment date.
2. went to annualcreditreport.com. and got one credit report
3. while there- I put a fraud alert on my account. Whichever agency you choose will notify the other 2 and you will have fraud alerts on all 3.
4. checked all of my accounts to make sure everything was in order as of "now"

I put the enrollment date in my calendar so I don't forget.
