It's taking them too long to move away from Trump - my guess is most Repub pols want to have it both ways: maintain support of the know-nothing Trump fans, AND get support from everyone who knows Trump is a fraud and, as the Russia-connection proceeds, intentially worked with a foreign adversary to influence the 2016 presidential campaign.
