I see that they have changed his status to critical. No matter what I think of the GOP = and it's not damned much- neither he nor anyone else on that field deserved what happened.

But- no civilian- none- should be allowed to carry around or even own an AR-15. There is no sense in that. The only reason for one of those in civilian hands is to cause chaos and mayhem.
