wmbw,

Let's try this again...

That distributor has SKU's for a little over 300 Intel
processors, retail boxed and tray. I list I think about
110 (the other disti shown is about 90) of which almost
all are retail boxed product sold mainly to small white-box
builders, mom and pop's and through some e-tailers. I would
render a guess that represents about 25-30% of Intel's
processor sales depending on how they classify the white-box
market. I know that some of the white-box makers source
directly from Intel and AMD and resell also, acting as a
small disti themselves. I know this disti sells quite a bit
to the white-box market in California because I see the
CPU's go out the door almost as fast as they come in to the
California warehouse. So what we are seeing is a snapshot in
time and we don't have enough info to see the real time
plot of receivables and sales. I do check periodically during
the week and I do see some of this activity. I suppose a
script could be used to take a snapshot of each SKU and each
warehouse and plot it but I don't have the time nor the
desire to pursue it. This has only been an attempt to let
people know what we see as we order product (if we can).

Capech?

Regards,
Mike
