Bless their little hearts. They poured their life savings into a POS penny stock only to find out that they got screwed by the CEO of the company.

Any similarities between penny stock investors and Trump voters is strictly coincidental.

I really don't think it is. It doesn't apply to all penny players or all Trump voters, but when it does, the psychology is identical. They bought into unrealistic promises, ignored unpleasant facts, acted against their own interests, and will support their president/CEO to the end.
