1. One are mean spirited, cynical, bashin’ haters.

2. The other optimistic to a fault and value the redemptive imperative of the human condition.

I think number one is too simplistic. The opposition party, Dems in this case, could probably have lived with any of a 1/2 dozen Republicans as president. Trump is a completely different story with his attacks on the pillars of our democracy. Take your pick and tell me what he missed in his attacks.

As for number 2 Trump sold them a bill of goods that he can't deliver on. Those are the Bible and gun folks that you know who referred to.

In fact he is stripping away the last vestiges of their social safety net that our country has always stood behind to suit his own agenda or that of Bannon's who is determined to blow the whole system up that has worked since Roosevelt was president.

Although you and I are quite lovely for example; thank da Lord we are not all the same ;)!.

Now as for me I feel this is the sequel to Groundhog Day starring the Apprentice President.

I wake up every morning hoping things will be normal. Then I hear what he tweeted while I was sleeping.
