If you need some income to live on and lose it all you will be worse off than if you do something that you KNOW works OK

What Clive does is an academic exercize. If he switched his account around with every idea he came up with he wouldn't make any money at all.

Have you even started investing yet? If you are still trying to figure out what to do you missed this whole climb in the market. If you have invested I can garentee that any changes you make in your plan / style will be at just the wrong time.
