Morning Stephanie. I am taking liberty, here.

I am jumping into a conversation that I was not invited into.

I agree with you on most of this:

everyone .. to me .. people do not have to be any thing .. I just love em all .. I think their lives are valuable .. no matter whose lives they are .. to me as a MOM .. I just can't stand killing .. and I cannot find a good reason for it .. sorry Novo .. If I could see this as a winning strategy ... maybe my mind would change .. so far .. all this killing has done is make more people hate us .. so ...

Also .. I am a real American .. I support my troops .. not just with paste on yellow stuff .. but with driving with my neighbors .. we are trying down here .. in our small way ..

NO .. I just do not WAVE some FLAG .. I stand for principles .. and those principles I stand for have nothing to do with religion or flags ..

But, I do disagree with something. I am sure that "as a Mom", you have had situations crop up where your children, or child, were/was endangered by someone else.

Let's get hypothetical here. If someone, for whatever reason, became so enraged against a group of people, and your child was part of that group, that the enraged people decided to "take out" that entire group. Wouldn't you blow the guy away before he killed your child? I know I sure would. And I would not care where he was when I took him out. I would pray that there were no innocent bystanders who were harmed. AND I WOULD MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO TARGET THE GUILTY, AND SPARE THE INNOCENT.

But, make no mistake about it. Once I was aware that someone threatened to kill my family, or any single member of that family, I would make every effort to kill them first. I hate violence. I hate war. I hate hatred. But, I love peace, sometimes in order to be able to live in peace, we must "take out" those who have verbally, and by action, sworn that their intention is to destroy peace. It has nothing to do with flag waving or religion. It has everything to do with justice.

Maybe I had better put the John Wayne quote back into my siggy.
