It's been talked about for years even when
I was in the Navy 45 years ago. I still follow Navy and military news and have read many articles about it over the years. What made me respond was I took my cousin and a friend of his, both ex Navy, for a ride in my boat last Sept. We passed one of Chatham, Ma USCG 42' Motor Life Boats in a place you don't usually see them so we just started talking about the Coast Guard and DHS and that subject came up. We all had worked with the Coast Guard while in the Navy far from U.S. waters and territories. Me while on a destroyer off Viet Nam and both of them while on a carrier in the Med.
