Because you let yourself get away with the exact same behavior on the exact same thread, yet you want people to take YOU seriously.
Basically, it's a power trip for you. I especially liked how you let people get away with personal attacks on your thread, except when someone is called an "AMDroid." Doesn't matter how ludicrous that standard is, because only YOUR ludicrous standard applies as a moderator.
And no, I don't buy your weak excuse that "unmoderated" threads allow you to get away with behavior you would not allow on your own playground. What you say anywhere reflects upon your character no matter what. That includes different threads on IHub, as well as SI, RealWorldTech (OMG, Linus loves you! LOL!), and anywhere else you may post. An unmoderated thread is not a license to act like a dick. Instead, the expectation is that the people who post there moderate themselves and post responsibly.
Anyway, I've said enough. I doubt I'll change your mind, because you're just too stubborn to listen to anyone else but number one, so I'll just leave it up to Matt.
