You must be jinxing my system (g), last night I responded with a lengthy post to your post from yesterday, and as I was posting, I-hub went down for two hours and I lost the post. This morning, I was responding to this post, and it got lost in "cyberspace". In any event, I was going to thank you and Alea for the analysis. I was also going to mention a little puzzlement to my untrained eye. Yesterday's IBM release mentioned that IBM has its own security chip and as an option, it may operate with the Embassy software suite. Does that mean that IBM has its own security system and it only offer the option? Does IBM pay a royalty to WAVX on each security chip they ship?

As for computer and network security in general, VeriSign has some activities in that field and an out fit with the strange name eEye Digital security, proposes to solve such problems with a physical authentication system. Many other outfits have identity security that can be applied to PC security as well (Identix is also looking to expand from government security systems to corporate and possibly consumer). These approaches control access rather than the approach suggested by WAVX, but functionally, do they not address the same problem?
