Regardless of the current stock price, no company sells out to another company when they know they are very soon to transition to a price 10x (or more) the current stock price.

Why would they want to sell if they have every indication that their pipeline is going to pay off very soon.

That's like owning a gold mine but selling for a fraction of its value because you don't want to mine the gold yourself.
