I looked at Ben's quote again. I don't think it was wrong of me to make the assumption that Ben used the progression patients entry into the trial. He did write "enrollment" and recurrent patients only joined the study once their newly diagnosed condition progressed. Here is the quote.

"For recurrent patients, MEAN survival from the time of initial enrollment in the trial was 17.9 months" -- Ben

But, I do know that the study median OS matched that number. AVII is correct on that. If this gentlemen did in fact mean MEDIAN survival then he should also change the word "enrollment" to "diagnosis" as these recurrent patients did not have a median survival of 17.9 months from the time of enrollment. Initial enrollment for progression patients is at PROGRESSION. And UCLA abstract claims that Median Survival at first recurrent surgery was 14.7 months. This gentlemen either meant the MEAN. Or he made two mistakes in the way he referred to the MEDIAN.
