Count, et al .. You made very good points and responded beautifully when Brad (DannyDetail) responded with the rhetoric of management apologists.
You see me/us as management apologists. I view myself as a management realist and expect the other "apologists" do as well. The reality is I would not take the judgment of anyone on this board, myself included, over anyone in IDCC management concerning any aspect of running the business, including the incentive compensation program.
I've invested some of my assets in this company. As long as my estimated future returns exceed what I think I can make in alternative investments going forward without any involvement from me or any other investor I will stay invested. Otherwise I'm out and into something else. I don't base my estimated future returns upon the very low likelihood of improved returns by some contemplated shareholder initiative that is highly unlikely to get passed in the first place and is no guarantee of improved results even if it does.
But hey, if instead of using the countless hours you spend managing your money focused on improving your overall investment returns, you would prefer to waste them tilting at windmills, being more concerned about what management makes rather than what you do, railing at management apologists and getting emotionally upset in the process, it is certainly is your right to do so.
