Interesting info. They sure have a lot of products for the aftermarket. I wonder why they aren't touting their IVT for diesels torque/low rev requirements? I wonder what kind of revs they need to get the opposing disks to transfer power effectively through their 'special' fluid?

I wish Torvec had their business, but I like the almost mechanical linkage with the Torvec swishplate vs the spinning plate close to another plate design of this and other high pressure systems. No doubt that it works, but how much better it is than mechanical or even normal automatic trannys is something I'd like to see more of. I also wonder if they still use the normal engine control charts that a standard automatic uses.

I didn't read anything about unique patents, but maybe they have something that makes their system unique from the standard Subaru 'silly putty' system for distributing torque.

I'll give them this. If they have a good 18 speed transmission that outperforms Ford's $1.2 billion, 6 speed, they can join Torvec and some other nonDetroit engineers who built better for less, faster.
