Pete807 questioned something I'd read and restated here on the board. Specifically, it referred to Icahn's position with respect to ALDW. So I went back into some of my informational sources and I'm not seeing those connection. I don't know if the info got scrambled in my brain or I'd simply stumbled upon bad information. Regardless, Icahn does own about 80% of CVR. Delek Holdings wants to buy ALJ, parent of ALDW.
Icahn has been accumulating Delek Holdings shares and, if he should accumulate meaningful leverage, then he will, in fact, become a controlling figure in this story.
