Reg FD is about selective disclosure. It does not matter if NW traded on the information.

Investment companies are specifically included in those that can not be disclosed to (unless an NDA exists).

It would not be a violation for a leak to have happened (unless it was intentional via LP/Les/...). But it does require that the company promptly publicly disclose any leaked material info once they become aware of it.

Why would they need an investigation? I am sure that NW would take a call from LP and answer the simple question about if he has become aware of any such.
