Spent time there years ago and had some normal tourist interaction with the cops who seemed like jerks. I vividly remember that. U.S. cops may be trigger happy but most are friendly, especially to free-spending tourists.

How does Quebec compare to BC as far as stock scams? I've mostly heard about Howe Street in Vancouver. That CBC program was interesting on several levels.
