They never said that Black was put on the board to run, or oversee the investigation. Presumably they put Black and Bayh on the board to avoid the charge that the board is LP's friends.

As far as the suit against Smith. When Smith sued LP, LP raised IP theft as defense. She lost that case, Then LP tried to sue Smith back on the IP theft issue. That case was tossed out of court on grounds that it was really the same issue that she had already lost.

The company that Smith went to work for might well compete with LP's real business, the stuff that actually makes money for Cognate using equipment bought by you. And Smith might well be a typical sleezy salesman taking customer info with him. But it had nothing at all to do with NWBO.
