Personally I think the Montreal mob had the special AMF/RCMP task force in their pockets.

That's Dan Ryan's theory as well. I don't have any personal impressions, as I've never communicated with them. They could certainly have done more to stop APS once it got underway, though the same could be said for the SEC.

It'll be interesting to see what CBC dug up.
