I'm reading that you are a nurture over nature guy. If I'm reading your post correctly (and we've already determined I struggle to do so), you seem to think giving a kid a better school is a guarantee to success. I've seen kids with everything given to them including the best education turn out worthless and kids from a poor area end up with a full ride to Stanford.
Perhaps you underestimate the value of Parents over Schools?
