I too did research on the net. Over and above that, change was needed at the top, K. had championed MMXT to BMG and was very familiar with the product and needs of the industry, K was believed to have good contacts. He also believed in the product and was familiar with its development.
My direct communication was limited to the exchange of a few e-mails. Others peolpe I know had talked to him personally and generally liked him.
