And a nightmare calculating the cost basis for the AT&T - I guess you'd have to go back to the break-up date and allocate the cost basis among all the offspring - and I'd assume Voya paid the cap gains on the sales of the RBOCs, Lucent, etc. at the times of sale.

And what did Voya roll those proceeds into? Presumably they have records of the buys done with the net proceeds.

If Voya reinvests dividends, then I presume the cost basis in each issue increases with each reinvestment if it's post-tax dividend munny.

I assume Voya pays taxes current on all dividend payouts. I'm unaware of how it legally could avoid that. Does it them reinvest on a pro rata basis on a specific date to price the 30 issues?

Sumbuddy hasta make these decisions unless it's all on autopilot in the charter and resolutions.
