Amy -- re Leo Wanta -- even though this whole thing is patently preposterous on its face (for starters, the numbers, even apart from their ludicrous magnitudes, are not even possibly internally consistent given market conditions since all this supposedly started), out of deference to you I've gone ahead and taken time to search to see if there's any 'there' there

and the obvious result of that search is that there is absolutely nothing out there to back up this ridiculous fairy tale, not one official or other credible independent confirmation of any sort of any aspect of this, let alone of the whole fantastic story -- the one link to a legitimate outside source in this latest 'recap' by Greg of his and Leo's 'explosive' cowcrap leads to a story that, however grimily interesting, has absolutely nothing whatsoever in it that actually relates or ties in in any way -- and 'AmeriTrust Groupe' is just Wanta's alter ego, so nothing is confirmed by its 'vouching' for Leo's wild claims -- and mere self-serving assertions in court filings (claimed to have been) made by/on behalf of Leo/AmeriTrust evidence and prove precisely nothing -- and so forth and so on

or as the proprietors of Unknown News [ http://www.unknownnews.org/ ] put it, in one of the only things I did find in re Wanta other than endless reposts and derivative repetitions of Szymanski's frantic gibberish attempting to hype this purported 'greatest financial story in the history of the world':

All the articles concerning Leo Wanta don't show up. Are they articles, or are they statements with no articles to back up the statements?

We've never written, published, or linked to anything about Leo Wanta, until receiving your note. A quick Google inquiry and five minutes of exploration has convinced me that Leo Wanta is intimately involved in the Vince Foster-Rosicrucian-Erma Bombeck-John Hinkley conspiracy connection, and Wanta seems to be of special interest to the sort of people who can't figure out what website they're emailing. However, we are flamboyantly un-interested.

it does neither you nor this board any good for you to be credulously posting here this savior-myth hoax as if it could possibly describe or otherwise bear any relationship to reality

and the same also goes for your similarly credulously posting here the whole 'Vatican/Jesuits/Opus Dei and their agents have the entire planet in a [satanic] death grip' theme -- yeah, they exist and have their powers and influences and play their roles -- but directly or indirectly controlling or being the, or even a, major or dominant player in more or less everything, somehow in one way or another ineluctably shaping and twisting every nation's and every person's destiny to their own ends? -- ahh, sorry, but nope, not hardly, not a chance, no freaking way, the world is way more complex than that and they're nowhere near being that big in the scheme of things

you have got be able to distinguish between, on the one hand, a corrupt (and in this instance declining) authoritarian religion aligning itself with, snuggling up to and enabling, other authoritarian players with which it perceives it shares common interests and/or opportunities, doing what it can to suck up to and collaborate with said other authoritarian players in hopes of getting in return support from them and chances to share in exploits and profits with them (no surprise in that, that's what authoritarian players do) -- you have got to be able to distinguish between that sort of utterly unremarkable opportunism by the corrupt authoritarian religion (in decline) on the one hand and, on the other hand, said corrupt authoritarian religion (in decline) actually in any way or sense controlling or exerting a controlling influence over said other authoritarian players

for just one example, an example that settles the point all by itself -- no matter how much Benedict has cozied up to and enabled dubya, he and his boys sure as shit ain't calling any shots for dubya&co (and before Benedict, JP2 openly detested dubya and he and his boys, including Ratzinger as he was known before his 'ascension', clearly had zero influence over dubya&co) -- and further, per the same example, if any authoritarian religion does have anything like the power and influence you ascribe to the Vatican, that would be the authoritarian American Protestant fundamentalists, in particular the Dominionists/Reconstructionists of which dubya is one -- Benedict and his boys sure as shit ain't pulling their strings either -- and even they sure as shit ain't the ones really running dubya&co, as they're just the readily available pre-packaged authoritarian figureheads and followers who are shamelessly being used by those who do run dubya&co, and who may or may not find that they remain 'in favor' and free to act out if and as dubya&co do succeed in getting all the way to a stabilized overt and self-avowed fascism
