So what you are saying is that adding the CABG and prior MIs you get 895 +1050 = 1945 enrollees...which is about 53% of the 3664 souls in the JELIS secondary prevention sub set..Averaging the risk in this group comes to 4.6% annual risk...Since we know, from the literature, the annual risk in the entire placebo group was 2.3%...(Scratching my head) The only way the risk for the entire group could be 2.3% if 53% of the group have 4.6% annual risk rate, would be if there was some kind of "Lazarus effect"...or at the very least no events in the remaining 47% of the group..
