skeballlarry,

Let me add to your " Works everywhere (i think)"
using the warning on the bleach bottle that suggests
one to first test a small amount on an area of clothing
that will not render it a total lost if it does not work well :o)

This week someone mentioned that Windows 2000
was the last one that had the original DOS available,
and after that DOS was not there eventhought i will guess
without having access to any Windows after 3.1 that while
this may be true, i have heard that a DOS "mode" can be
entered even in these latest & greatest Windows.

But if i'am totally wrong then what i say next is hog-wash :o)

My reference location is my Windows 3.1 where here
my DOS 5.0 OS always comes "alive" before Windows.

At the DOS PROMPT doing a HELP command results in
that list, of sandwhich one is the CHCP command that has
to do with code pages.

Rather than i detail any more info here that can allow you
and others to get into trouble, i'll just demo what i can do,
and reference a Microsoft URL for more details.

Using Code Page Table #437 (English)

I'am able, with use of the Alt-Key, type in the following:
½ versus 1/2
¼ versus 1/4
and a double arrow head pointing right as »
but but but,
if i try to make a double arrow head pointing left...
Oops, i terminate my iHub posting session.
Here is a ? versus a ¿ for those upside down :o)
