Many high risk activities offer no or little chance of reward. Russian roulette, for example. The correct expression is that high risk SHOULD be compensated with the chance of high reward. Lots of desperate people would play RR for a guaranteed $1 million.

Most BK players don't understand risk correctly and they usually suffer for that.
