This was the collapse that all biotechs had last year, and yes, many institutions left the sector. Others were shorted down for easy money by those same institutions. MRNS had NO trial results or important events last year.
What I was referring to specifically was IPCI popping on positive news/data and then crashing back down. MRNS very soon has 3 important trial results coming up in the next 3 months. If positive, I doubt they will have the same gap up and then dump that IPCI had because of the institutional ownership. When there are less shares available on the free float, the stock--in THAT specific situation-- will LIKELY hold its gains better than a stock with low institutional ownership. But not always. That was the point I was trying to make.
