If they can push it to bk they never need to cover. But a low pps isnt enough to do it.
The wsj story is very possibly true which is why the shorts are here. They will be shorting monday if the company doesnt speak. But if they put out the 10k and say they are not going to go bk the wsj article will blow up in the shorts face. The instant cover attempt for 100m shares will halt this and when trading begins it will have a $2 gap up for the shorts. The buying following that will be making a lot of shorts get a margin call. Could jump well over $15 in a few hours. Then it will crash again and the shorts left alive will try again.
