It bothers me too, you're not alone. The unit pricing was too obvious throughout most of the day (Friday), perched none too shakily at an ask of $1.81. I figured it was a market maker until late in the session when I realized I had to be wrong as there was no motion towards day's end to release accumulation. MM's are smarter than that.

More convincing for me is that I placed an order for 500u at $1.75 to see if an after hours trade was even a possibility. Didn't happen.

I've got 3,500 units so far and will hold there for now.

Interesting piece on SDLP, just read it. The premise is based, in part, on the time between oil's rise and resultant impact on the unit price. I don't see that as a deterrent, you just need to re-scale your expectations. Too, those contract extensions are never brought up.
