apple has high margins because they price gouge.
apple did the same thing with macs vs PCs in the 80s/90s.
and by the end of the 90s, even with windows best offering be win95/win98 (clunky at best),
apple nearly went out of business.
to the point where apple wooed TheSteve back to cupertino
and rebounded with the imac, etc...
consider that TheSteve is now out of the picture again
as he was in the early 90s.
then look at iWatch sales,
which, per earlier post, may become more compelling
once iWatch becomes a VR platform.
but that's probably a year or two away, maybe more.
imo, the chart below speaks volumes.

and android proceeded to dominate it.
with apple's cash reserve, i don't see them going under any time soon.
but i do feel their revenue stream will wane
unless they can splash another game-changing product by 2018.
eg: the killer VR app...
