Only I think their D&D will, from where they stand, only be done if some final convincing data comes out of SUNRISE. We are talking BIG money here, even for BP.

I have to disagree once again. Please keep in mind that GILD made their multi billion dollar move on Pharmassett with only Phase II data. So I don't think they wait on "final convincing data" from Sunrise as then everyone would be privy to the information.

And yes, we are talking VERY BIG MONEY here - particularly in the next several years - for both parties market caps if the breadth and depth of Bavi becomes fully realized. As I mentioned a couple of days ago - GILD's upward trajectory has seemed to stall recently - even with their recent phenomenal numbers in the Hep C and HIV arenas - and as a result, they have made it clear they need a new cornerstone molecule to exploit and develop if they are to resume their ascent in their quest to become the biggest BP {by market cap - not in number of employees} in the world. I think both you and I realize - of course based on what our own DD tells us - that Bavi et al could quite reasonably propel them - alone with PPHM - to such lofty heights.

Finally, keep in mind that I am talking partnership here - so the initial buy in of up to 50% of world wide rights will most definitely not break the GILD bank - particularly as at least half of the price should be paid in stock as you have repeatedly - and correctly - stated.
