F6, no doubt you have no doubt .. :) .. another thought arising over the recent past is that i'm a bit surprised at your apocalyptic position on it, as it feels to go
against your otherwise aversion to absolute certainties in the field of science .. maybe i have something wrong there? .. lol .. but until Musk, Hawking and others as

"Others who signed the letter include Peter Norvig, director of research at Google; Martin Rees, professor emeritus of cosmology and astrophysics at the University of Cambridge;
Vernor Vinge, professor emeritus of computer science at San Diego State University; Frank Wilczek, Nobel laureate and physics professor at MIT; and many others."

agree with you then i'm gonna keep believing Musk's position as he says it, even though you seem to be saying he doesn't believe at all that A1 end-time even 'could be' averted .. i understand your Casper the
ghost suggestion, and your reasons given, it makes sense, but also feels it could be a little unfair to Musk, i mean i don't know about that .. would be good if someone asked him the question .. something like ..

'you say you feel it "could" be the biggest danger to the human race, but there are suggestions you really believe it is too late ..'

to Elon and to Stephen Hawking and to the others who aren't as certain as you are .. i haven't seen any real solid reason to believe for certain that Musk has given up any hope of avoiding that
particular apocalypse .. my position is meant to be fair to you and the other named in here .. hope it reads like that, as no doubt all of you have more insight into the the question than i will ever have ..

One big regret is i will never know the answer, though there will be some solace in my thinking 'oh, well,
guess i was never meant to ever really know' as i draw one of my last breaths .. if there is time, that is .. grin ..

ps: haven't come close to understanding even a little bit of the recent and linked time travel stuff, lol, thanks for it, i will get into it .. :)

It was Plato who said, “He, O men, is the wisest, who like Socrates, knows that his wisdom is in truth worth nothing”
