What are your thoughts on the fact that the 9,180,106 patent was granted one month ago and has not been PR'd. Just saving the card, or perhaps waiting to tie-in with some cancer preclinicals?

In short: it was already PR'd on August 12th. I think the open ended feel of this PR led some investors to assume that there was more news to come. This is what they said: "The USPTO issues a Notice of Allowance after it determines that a patent should be granted for a claimed invention that is novel in comparison to all known technology in existence. Based on the timing of this Notice of Allowance, Anavex expects the patent to be issued by the end of 2015." This is what they should have said (from a different company's PR): "This Notice of Allowance concludes the substantive examination of the patent application and will result in the issuance of a U.S. patent after administrative processes are completed." Sounds more final, doesn't it?

I'm not expecting another PR specifically for this patent. I expect the next patent related PR to be for a Notice of Allowance on 13/940352 aka ANAVEX PLUS (hopefully soon!).
