perhaps because the market is finally acknowledging what a can-kick actual means:
that the markets are on life-support...

re: calls on VXX movement, nice read on that.
i went calls early, too.
foolishly let myself get shaken out due to my perception of job report impact.

nutshell,
a) i don't think can-kick implies rally anymore.
b) impossible to know how the market will react to any news.

re: b) fwiw, i believe this is true due to broad daylight manipulation.
ie: when everyone thinks the market will crash
sucker them in
then run it the other way
laughing all the way to the bank...
esp because you are the bank...
